Graded EX+ 70 by SGC. Hands-at-chest pose. A very attractive high-grade example of Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson's rookie card from the popular T206 White Border series. The offered example is bright and clean, with a deep blue background, and flawless registration. The corners are square with even, very light wear. The image is centered slightly towards the bottom left. The back is clean with very bold print. Sweet Caporal advertisement on the reverse. This is a very attractive example of Walter Johnson's rookie card (one of several T206 cards of Johnson which share this distinction) which would be a worthy addition to any high-grade T206 set, Walter Johnson collection, or classic Hall of Fame card collection. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,200. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. |
