Graded PR 1 by PSA. Presented is a very attractive low-grade example of the T206 Magie error card. This is a very pleasing and relatively affordable example of this famous error card. The card is bright and clean, extremely well centered, with a crisp, perfectly focused image and bold colors; the few creases and minor surface wear, including two spots on his face, do not significantly detract from the card's overall eye-appeal. The corners are evenly rounded and there are also two tiny tears or areas of pinholes near the bottom left and right borders (not easily seen, one has to really hold the card up to the light to see them). The reverse of the card features a boldly printed advertisement for Piedmont Cigarettes (150 Subjects, Factory No. 25). This is an extremely pleasing low-grade example (especially desirable to many collectors as it is also far more affordable than a higher-grade example) of one of card collecting's most famous error cards and one of the hobby's most legendary rarities. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. |
