Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. One of only seven Tris Speaker examples graded at this level. Turkey Red cabinets are universally recognized as among the most beautiful baseball-card issues ever produced. This example is crisp and clean, front and back, with bright, bold colors, even wear to the corners, a light vertical surface crease in the middle of the right border, and some flaking in the upper left corner. The card has a very clean checklist-style reverse. All flaws on this card are strictly relegated to the border areas. The image area on this card, featuring Speaker's magnificent batting pose artwork, is particularly bright, clean, and essentially flawless. SMR value is $1,500. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. |
