Graded GOOD 30 by SGC. T206 Magie error card. This is a very pleasing and conservatively graded example of this famous error card. Since the earliest days of organized collecting, the T206 Magie error card has been recognized as one of card collecting's great rarities. The card is bright and clean, with a crisp, perfectly focused image and bold colors. The few creases, including a vertical crease on the left side of the portrait, and minor surface wear do not significantly detract from the card's overall eye-appeal. The corners are evenly rounded. The reverse of the card features a boldly printed advertisement for Piedmont Cigarettes (150 Subjects, Factory No. 25). This is an extremely pleasing mid-grade example, with an exceptional appearance for the grade, of one of the hobby' most elusive cards, and one of the key cards to the T206 set. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000+.
