| DESCRIPTION |
Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by PSA. Exceptionally attractive medium-grade example of Hall of Famer Honus Wagner from this extremely popular candy-card issue. The card is bright and crisp, with incredibly vibrant colors, light wear on the corners, no creases, and light toning along the bottom border. The card is centered 20/80 top to bottom, with an ever-so-slight tilt to the image. The slightly out-of-focus registration on this bright, crisp card is a natural printing flaw as made. The text on the back is centered towards the top (approximately 10/90 T/B) and a light stain is visible along the right side. The E90-1 American Caramel set has two different poses of Honus Wagner (batting and throwing). This same batting pose was also used for E92 Dockman & Sons and other related candy-card issues from the 1910 era. Caramel cards in general are rarely found in high grade. This is a magnificent example of Honus Wagner, and a particularly strong looking card for the grade, from one of prewar-card collecting's most desirable candy-card issues. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200.
