Graded PR-FR 1 by PSA. This is a very attractive technically low-grade example of the rare T206 O'Hara, St. Louis Americans variation. The modest grade is appropriate due to creasing, but all things considered, we have to say this is absolutely without question the most impressive example of this rare T206 graded PR-FR 1 that we have ever seen. Bright and crisp, with virtually perfect centering, extremely fresh colors, and with practically no staining (a few spots along the right edge and left border), and a few horizontal creases through the image. The packaged cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product; thus almost all O'Hara cards have at least some tobacco staining. This is an exceptionally attractive card, especially for the grade, of one of the rarest cards in the classic T206 White Border set. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+++.
