Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of only nine examples graded at this level with none graded higher. Exceptionally strong example of key Hall of Famer Tris Speaker from the T3 Turkey Red cabinet-card series. Turkey Red cabinets are universally recognized as among the most beautiful baseball-card issues ever produced. This is a gorgeous card! It is rare to see any T3 Turkey Red this sharp, let alone Tris Speaker, one of the most attractive cards and important Hall of Famers in the set. This card is perfectly clean front and back, with bright, vibrant colors, four square corners (just a hint more wear on the lower right, still extremely minor and which appears to be the only factor keeping this gem from a PSA EX-MT 6 grade), and a checklist reverse. Even the tone of the borders is perfect, with no areas of shading, as is so common with Turkey Reds. This is a tremendous card that would make a significant addition to any world-class collection of classic vintage Hall of Famers and be very much at home in any ultra high-grade Turkey Red set. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000.
