Graded EX 5 by PSA. Excellent condition example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie (with bat pose), considered by many to be among the most attractive of all T206 images. In addition to being a very sharp-looking T206 of Nap Lajoie, the offered example is all the more noteworthy as the reverse has an advertisement for Tolstoi Cigarettes. Tolstoi is a scarce back, very unusual and seen far less often than the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. Bright and clean, with bold colors, and light wear on the corners. Perfectly centered! The Tolstoi advertising on the back is boldly printed. This card would be a worthy addition to any high-grade T206, Nap Lajoie, or classic Hall of Fame card collection. SMR value for the assigned grade is $500. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
