Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Exceptionally attractive (and in our opinion very conservatively graded) example of Hall of Famer Zach Wheat from the T206 White Border series with an American Beauty 460 advertising reverse. This card jumps out as a particularly high quality example of an unusual T206 HOF front-back combination. American Beauty 460 is a very scarce back (#13 on the scarcity list provided by t206resource.com), not quite in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but very unusual and extremely rare compared to most other T206 advertising backs. This is a simply tremendous example of Zach Wheat, with considerably stronger eye-appeal than suggested by its very respectable PSA grade. The card is bright and crisp, both front and back, with very bold colors, perfect registration, just the slightest hint of wear on the square corners, and centered very slightly to the right. The reverse is perfectly clean with bold green print against the off-white background. This is a gorgeous card! Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. |
