Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by BVG (Beckett). Pack-fresh gem of card #52 Roberto Clemente with flawless colors and gloss, bright yellow background, and four razor-sharp corners. Perfectly centered! The 1958 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects and a tendency to have soft corners, which make high-grade examples particularly difficult to find. This is a world-class ultra high-grade example of Roberto Clemente, one of the greatest legends in the history of the game, far exceeding the expectations for 1958 Topps. It would be hard to imagine a finer example. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,400. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
