Graded EX 60 by SGC. Center fielder Mike Griffin of the Brooklyn Grooms of the National League. Griffin stole 94 bases in 1887 to set a Major League record, which stood for nearly one-hundred years until Vince Coleman stole 110 in 1985. Centered to the bottom right, with a bold image, and even wear to the corners. There are a couple small spots of what appear to be paper residue on the far left and the reverse has a tiny pinpoint chip of paper loss near the bottom and a hint of clear glue, otherwise perfectly clean. The card certainly has an overall Excellent appearance but in light of minor flaws we grade this card Vg-Ex. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. |
