Fold-over scorecard issued for an 1883 National League game between the Cleveland Blues and Providence Grays in Cleveland. The colorful cover features an illustration of a generic player in a throwing pose, with the caption below reading "Now For A Liner." Advertising for a Cleveland tailor appears on the reverse. The preprinted lineups included Glasscock, Bushong, York, Dunlap, Hotaling, and Muldoon for Cleveland, and Radbourn, Hines, Farrell, Carroll, Denny, Gilligan, and Cassidy for Provenance. Scored in pencil to record a 9-2 Providence victory, which was one of Radbourn's league-leading 48 wins that season. Research indicates that this game took place on July 28th. The scorecard (3.5 x 6 inches; folded) is in Excellent to Mint condition overall. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
