Presented is a collection of thirteen different cards from five classic nineteenth-century baseball and boxing issues, including N172 and N174 Old Judge. This group has been carefully saved by our consignor, a book collector, for many years since long ago discovering them in an old-time collection. 1) 1886 H804-8 Sporting Life Trade Cards (7 cards): Pr to Gd, averaging Fr. Five of the cards feature a comical baseball scene. 2) 1887 N174 Old Judge Boxers (2 cards): Ryan (Vg+) and Sullivan (Gd). 3) 1887-1889 N172 Old Judge (2 cards): #13-4 Arundell (pencil on reverse, otherwise Fr) and 113-2 Dalrymple (Fr). 4) 1889 N136 Honest Long Cut "Terrors of America" (1 card): "Out on first! How's that Umpire?" (Vg-Ex). 5) c.1894 N354 Consolidated Cigarette Co. "Turn Cards" small version (1 card): "Three Strikes" (Pr).
