Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Extremely attractive example of Cap Anson from the colorful 1888 N162 Goodwin Champions set. Anson is the key card from this very popular fifty-card set issued by Old Judge and Gypsy Queen Cigarettes. This example is bright and crisp, with flawless colors and perfect registration. The corners display light touches of wear, and the card is centered to the left. Downgraded from Vg-Ex due to a surface chips in Anson's uniform area (his right arm). The checklist reverse is clean with bold black print and a speck of paper loss just above the second "o" in the word Goodwin at the bottom. This card presents a great opportunity to acquire an extremely attractive example of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
