Striking colorized team postcard of the Cleveland Naps from the 1908 Colonial Postcard series. This is one of the most attractive team postcards of the era. The postcard features full-body images of twenty-one team members in uniform standing on the field, including Hall of Famers Nap Lajoie, Addie Joss, and Elmer Flick, with Joss in the center of the top image. The caption "Cleveland Baseball Club" is printed in the center. The card (3-5/8 x 5-5/8 inches), which is not addressed or mailed, displays light-to-moderate creases, and even wear on the corners. The year "1909" is noted in pencil on the reverse. This is an exceptional postcard worthy of any Cleveland Naps, postcard, or prewar-card collection. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC. Reserve $200.
