Graded VG-EX 4 (MK) by PSA. Outstanding example of Hall of Famer Roger Connor (hands-face-level pose) from the popular N284 Buchner Gold Coin series. The card displays bright colors, even wear to the four corners, and is centered slightly to the top. A few small pencil notations are visible on the reverse. Buchners are unusual in that they feature generic illustrations of the ballplayers rather than the actual likeness of the identified player. This is an attractive Hall of Famer example from the Buchner Gold Coin tobacco set, one of the few full-color baseball-card sets of the nineteenth century, and one of the most artistically interesting, distinctive, and classic baseball-card sets of the 1880s. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
