Hall of Famer Amos Rusie from the N300 Mayo series. Rusie was issued in two variations in the Mayo set, with his name spelled correctly, and with his name misspelled "Russie," with an extra "s." This is the variation with the misspelling. Because Rusie's career spanned the years from 1889 to 1901, an era in which few sets were issued, he appears on very few cards. Clean and crisp, centered slightly to the right, with light corner wear visible only at the tips. Slightly trimmed edges are the sole alteration responsible for the SGC Authentic designation. This is a very sharp-looking card, displaying as Ex-Mt, with a clean reverse. This is an outstanding key Hall of Famer from one of the ninteenth century's most important sets. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
