Rarely offered 1906-1907 Sporting Life team postcard of the Cleveland Naps. The composite photo features individual portrait images of 19 team members, including Hall of Famers Nap Lajoie, Addie Joss, and Elmer Flick, with Lajoie in the center. This is a smaller, postcard version of the Sporting Life team composites (13 x 14 inches) issued by the Sporting Life newspaper, which were available to fans either by individual purchase (for ten cents) or as a complete set in a bound volume. The postcard (5.5 x 3.5 inches) includes a vintage, handwritten note on the front and has been addressed and mailed. The postmark is dated "Jul 3 1907." Graded PR 1 by SGC (submitted by REA), with moderate creasing and uneven toning on the reverse from its once having been mounted in an album with photo corners. This is a very appealing postcard worthy of any Cleveland Naps, postcard, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
