This circa 1940s/1950s "Dodgers" uniform was never issued for use at the Major League level, but instead appears to have been used by one of the Brooklyn Dodgers' minor-league affiliates, hence its designation by MEARS as a Dodges "Organizational Uniform." The white flannel jersey is lettered "Dodgers" across the front and features the number "1" on the reverse. All letters and numerals are appliqued in blue felt. Located in the collar are a "Rawlings label, a "38" size tag, and a laundry tag. The matching white flannel pants, with blue piping on each leg, feature a "Rawlings" label, a "36" size tag, and a laundry tag in the waistband. A pair of blue stirrup socks accompany the garment. Both the jersey and pants appear to have a few replaced buttons, otherwise the garment is original as issued, with no other alterations. Moderate wear is displayed throughout, including light stains on the jersey and pants. MEARS has certified the uniform as "Authentic." Full LOA from MEARS. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
