Presented is an attractive card from the 1908 American League Publishing Company Postcard series featuring Hall of Fame pitcher Addie Joss. Joss is pictured in a pitching pose on the front of the postcard, with a small portrait in an oval alongside and biographical information at the bottom. It is interesting to note that the portrait image used on this card is the same used on Joss's T206 White Border card. Graded POOR 1 by SGC (submitted by REA) due to paper loss on the upper right corner, writing on the front, and being addressed and mailed on the reverse. Despite the obvious condition flaws, the card has a crisp image, even corner wear, and a crease in the lower right. This is a very presentable card from this rare issue that would be a worthy addition to any advanced postcard, Hall of Fame, or type-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
