Babe Ruth signature example on a large cut segment of a preprinted sheet. Ruth has beautifully signed the sheet in blue fountain pen, with the signature grading "9." The date, "8/10/32, which is written in an unknown hand, appears in black fountain pen to the right of Ruth's signature. This preprinted sheet appears to be part of a hotel register, as it reads "Guests" along the top and has preprinted sections for the guest's signature, as well as his/her arrival date, time checked in, where they are from, and their departure date. Ruth was on the last legs of an 18-game road trip with the New York Yankees on August 10, 1932. On that date the Yankees concluded a four-game series with the Browns before heading to Washington for the last two games of the road trip. Ruth went 2-3 with two RBI in the Yankees' 7-6 victory over the Browns on August 10, which gave them a sweep of the series. The sheet (10 x 3 inches) has been neatly cut and displays a small edge tear along the right border. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500.
