Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Exceptional high-grade example of infamous "Black Sox" pitcher Eddie Cicotte from the 1909-1912 PX7 Sweet Caporal Domino Discs set. The PX7 Sweet Caporal Domino Discs set is one of the most interesting, substantial, and overlooked of all baseball tobacco inserts. This classic 1910-era issue includes almost all of the great stars and Hall of Famers of the era, and Eddie Cicotte is one of the keys to the set. Bright, crisp, and clean, the offered example features bright colors on front and back, with little to no rust or wear visible along the edges. Domino Discs are substantially rarer than card issues such as T205 and T206 (or even P2 pins) that were issued with tobacco in the same era. Because cards naturally get most of the attention among tobacco inserts, in our opinion Domino Discs represent one of the best values of all 1910-era baseball tobacco issues. The offered example of Eddie Cicotte would be a worthy addition to any Eddie Cicotte, "Black Sox," or 1910-era collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
