Extremely attractive example of legendary Hall of Famer Mike “King” Kelly from the popular 1888 N28 Allen & Ginter set. The quality of the artwork, pose, and stature of Mike "King" Kelly has always made this card one of the great classics of the Allen & Ginter set and of all pre-1900 baseball cards. Graded GOOD 2 by SGC (submitted by REA), the card is bright and clean, with four square corners showing just a hint or wear, slightly out-of-focus registration, and bold colors. Downgraded from Vg-Ex due to several chips of paper loss on front. The checklist reverse is clean and centered toward the bottom left. This card presents a great opportunity to acquire an extremely attractive example of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards, at a far more affordable level than what a technically higher graded example with the same appearance would cost.
