Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC. Very presentable, modestly-graded example of Babe Ruth from the 1926 Exhibits series. Ruth is depicted in an ideal swing-through pose. This is one of Ruth’s rarest cards! To date, SGC has only graded three examples (at any level), with the highest grading VG. An additional six examples are graded by PSA, making this single-digit population an immensely scarce relic from the peak of Ruth’s career. This card displays a crisp image with outstanding picture quality, even corner wear (a bit more on the lower left), and a diagonal crease in the lower right quadrant. The blank back has light staining and an ink notation. An extremely attractive low-grade example and a worthy addition to any Exhibits, Babe Ruth, or classic prewar-cards collection. Reserve $300.
