Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. Modestly graded example of the 1929-1930 4-on-1 Exhibit featuring Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Leo Durocher (rookie) alongside Mark Koenig. In 1929 the Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago changed the design of its cards and began issuing “4 on 1” Exhibits featuring four different players per card, all from the same team. This is the key card from that first year 4-on-1 set. This example is centered slightly toward the top left, with crisp images, heavy corner wear, and an unmailed postcard reverse. In addition to the corner wear, moderate creasing and spots of discoloration (mainly on the reverse) account assigned grade. A very presentable example and worthy addition to any 1929-1930 4-on-1 Exhibits, New York Yankees, or Ruth/Gehrig collection. Reserve $300.
