Collection of seven different Hall of Famers from the classic 1932 R328 U.S. Caramel series, including an extremely low-grade example of #32 Babe Ruth. The 1932 multisport set produced by U.S. Caramel is considerably rarer than Goudeys and most other 1930s sets, and has long been recognized as among the most desirable issues of the era. With their distinctive red backgrounds, they are also widely regarded as one of the most striking of all 1930s card issues. This collection consists of the following: #4 Terry (Pr), 6 Dickey (color added, otherwise Pr), 7 Cronin (Fr), 12 Cochrane (Pr, with paper loss on surface), 13 L. Waner (Fr), 31 Gomez (Gd), and 32 Ruth (Pr). This is a relatively affordable collection of seven Hall of Famers, including key card Babe Ruth, from the scarce and desirable U.S. Caramel set. Total: 7 cards. This lot originates from the collection of legendary pioneer collector Paul Pollard. Reserve $300.
