Graded VG 3 by SGC (submitted by REA). Attractive card of Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson from the legendary 1952 Topps issue. In addition to being one of the key cards to this classic set, and one of the most famous of all postwar cards, Robinson's 1952 Topps card is part of the rare high-number series (although his card was double-printed and is therefore slightly more available than others from the same series). This example is bright and crisp, with bold colors, centering toward the top right, and modest corner wear. Light surface wear is present on the front along with a light horizontal crease running from the bottom left edge through Robinson's nameplate. Boldly printed reverse. Frequently overshadowed by the #311 Mantle from the same set (which is also a high-number series card and also double-printed), #312 Robinson is one of the few cards that defines the 1952 Topps set for collectors. Robinson is also one of the few Hall of Famers found in the 1952 Topps high-number series. This is an attractive example that would be very much at home in any quality 1952 Topps set, Jackie Robinson, or classic-card collection. Reserve $1,000.
