Graded VG+ 3.5 by SGC (submitted by REA). Extremely attractive card of Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson from the legendary 1952 Topps issue. In addition to being one of the key cards to this classic set, and one of the most famous of all postwar cards, Robinson's 1952 Topps card is part of the rare high-number series (although his card was double-printed and is therefore slightly more available than others from the same series). This example is bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, light corner wear, and centering slightly toward the bottom left. Clean reverse. Downgraded due to light surface wear on the front and a small surface crease around the left corner of the reverse. Frequently overshadowed by the #311 Mantle from the same set (which is also a high-number series card and also double-printed), #312 Robinson is one of the few cards that defines the 1952 Topps set for collectors. Robinson is also one of the few Hall of Famers found in the 1952 Topps high-number series. This is an extremely attractive example that would be very much at home in any quality 1952 Topps set, Jackie Robinson, or classic-card collection. Reserve $1,000.
