Very attractive near-complete low-number run (#1-310) from the classic 1952 Topps series, missing only #261 Willie Mays for completion. Nine cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC. Keys: #1 Pafko (VG/EX 4, black back), 2 Runnels (possible slight trim, otherwise Vg-Ex+, red back), 11 Rizzuto (Vg-Ex, black back), 20 Loes RC (slight miscut, otherwise Vg, black back), 22 DiMaggio (Ex, black back), 26 Irvin (Vg, black back), 29 Kluszewski (Vg, black back), 33 Spahn (VG/EX+ 4.5, black back), 36 Hodges (VG/EX 4, red back), 37 Snider (Fr, red back), 48b Page/correct (Vg+, black back), two 49b Sain/correct (Gd+, black back, and Vg-Ex+, red back), 57 Lopat (Vg-Ex, black back, and slight trim, otherwise Ex+, red back), 59 Roberts (slight trim, otherwise Vg-Ex, black back, and Vg, red back), 65 Slaughter (Vg-Ex+, red back), 66 Roe (Gd+, black back, and trimmed and altered, red back), 67 Reynolds (Vg, black back, and Vg-Ex, red back), 88 Feller (VG/EX 4), 91 Schoendienst (Vg-Ex), 122 Jensen (Vg), 129 Mize (Pr-Fr), 175 Martin RC (VG 3), 191 Berra (trimmed and altered, otherwise Vg-Ex), 195 Minoso RC (VG/EX+ 4.5), 215 Bauer (Vg-Ex), 216 Ashburn (Vg-Ex/Ex), 227 Garagiola (Vg-Ex), 243 Doby (15/85 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 246 Kell (EX+ 5.5), 250 Erskine (Ex), 268 Lemon (EX/NM 6), 274 Branca (90/10 L/R, otherwise Ex), and 277 Wynn (EX/NM+ 6.5). This is a very attractive complete (minus one card) low-number run of 1952 Topps, one of card collecting’s most popular classics, in a very desirable and relatively affordable grade (compared to the cost of higher-grade 1952 Topps cards) and representing a very substantial start toward a complete set. Total: 359 cards (near-complete low-number run of 309 plus 50 back variations). Reserve $2,000.
