Complete low number run (#1-310) from the classic 1952 Topps series. Also including both the Page and Sain error cards for a total of 312 different cards. Missing only the ninety-seven rare high-number series cards (#311-407) for completion. Cards #1-80 have black backs except for the following six red backs: #1, 4, 16, 26, 33, and 34. Condition is 30% Vg-Ex to Ex, 63% Gd to Vg (including approximately twenty due to spotty discoloration from long-time storage in older plastic pages), and 7% lesser (including one trimmed). Keys: #1 Pafko (Gd), 2 Runnels RC (Gd+, black back), 11 Rizzuto (Ex, black back), 20 Loes (Gd+, black back), 26 Irvin (Vg), 29 Kluszewski (Vg, black back), 33 Spahn (Gd), 36 Hodges (Gd+, black back), 37 Snider (Vg, black back), 48a Page/error (Gd, black back), 48b Page/correct (Gd, black back), 49a Sain/error (Gd+, black back), 49b Sain/correct (Vg-Ex, black back), 57 Lopat (Vg, black back), 59 Roberts (Vg-Ex, black back), 65 Slaughter (Ex, black back), 66 Roe (Vg-Ex, black back), 67 Reynolds (Ex, black back), 88 Feller (95/5 L/R, otherwise Vg), 91 Schoendienst (Vg), 129 Mize (Vg/Vg-Ex), 175 Martin RC (Vg), 191 Berra (Vg+), 195 Minoso RC (Gd), 216 Ashburn (Gd-Vg), 243 Doby (Vg), 246 Kell (Vg), 261 Mays (Gd), 268 Lemon (small ink mark on reverse, otherwise Vg), 274 Branca (pencil mark on reverse, otherwise Ex), and 277 Wynn (Vg). This is a very attractive complete low-number run of 1952 Topps, one of card collecting’s most popular classics, in a very desirable and relatively affordable grade (compared to the cost of higher-grade 1952 Topps cards). A 1952 Topps low-number set run such as this is not easily found, represents a particularly outstanding collecting value, and, of course, is a very substantial start toward a complete set. Total: 312 cards. Reserve $1,000.
