Scarce 12-page program issued for a nine-game tour of preseason exhibition games to be played between the 1916 World Champion Boston Red Sox and the Brooklyn Superbas of the National League. The cover design features individual portrait photos of the respective presidents for both Boston and Brooklyn (Harry Frazee for Boston and Charles Ebbets for Brooklyn). The interior pages include separate team photographs of Boston and Brooklyn, as well as a portrait image of Brooklyn manager Wilbert Robinson. A brief biography of the respective players participating in the exhibition tour, including Babe Ruth, are printed on the interior pages, along with a short description of the towns where the exhibition games will take place. During the nine-game contest, Brooklyn won five games and Boston won four. Babe Ruth was the starting pitcher in four of the nine games, winning one and losing one. The program (6 x 7.75 inches) displays a vertical fold line in the center and light creasing, as well as the ink notation "6299R" on the back cover. In Good condition overall. Reserve $300.
