Original-owner collection of 1952 Topps "Look 'n See" consisting of forty-one different cards plus ten duplicates, highlighted by two examples of #15 Babe Ruth and the short-printed #82 Rembrandt. "Look 'n See" is one of the great classics of early 1950s nonsport card issues and one of the earliest of all Topps sets. "Look 'n See" is one of the most highly regarded and collected of all postwar sets. This was an extremely ambitious concept for a set, with strong historical and educational content. The card fronts feature full-color portraits of famous people from all eras and areas of history. Any kid collecting and studying this set could not help but learn about and develop a greater interest in world history. Condition is 16% Ex to Ex-Mt, 62% Vg to Vg-Ex and 22% lesser. Keys: #1 Roosevelt (Vg), 4 Lincoln (70/30 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt+), two 15 Ruth (Vg and Gd+), 30 Lindbergh (Vg+), two 57 Jesse James (Vg-Ex and Vg/Vg-Ex), and 82 Rembrandt (Ex). This is a very attractive collection of this scarce, early Topps issue. Total: 51 cards. Reserve $100.
