Real-photo postcard capturing 20 members of the 1907 American League Champion Detroit Tigers in a classic team pose, including Ty Cobb, manager Hughie Jennings, Sam Crawford, George Mullin, and Germany Schaefer. The white-letter caption along the base reads “Detroit’s 1907.” 1907 marked the first of Detroit’s three consecutive American League Championship seasons, all of which ultimately ended with a World Series loss. The postcard (5.5 x 3.5 inches) displays a few surface impressions (from corner mounts) and light corner wear. The reverse has not been addressed. The number "118" is written in pencil on the back as well as the notation "Pennant Winners." Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Despite the flaws, the card presents at a much higher level than suggested by its technically accurate grade. Reserve $300.
